A couple of days ago Noel Gallagher announced his departure from Oasis, which is not terribly shocking given the history of the brothers over the last couple of decades.
What I forgot to take into account was that with him gone, Oasis is effectively over. Unlike some other bands, Oasis cannot bloody carry on.
I would be a bit more upset, but I haven't liked anything that they've put out in the last few years, since Heathen Chemistry came out. Just as well - I like classic Oasis, anyway.
I'm sure people wouldn't mind a Noel Gallagher solo album as he's the one that has been writing the songs for the band...someone should've told Noel to Don't Look Back in Anger (heh).
