Anyway, caught the 3D version of Alice in Wonderland in the 1U GSC late last night with Pik and fyee. The plan was to have dinner before the movie, but as usual that didn't pan out, so it was a good thing I did have dinner after all.
Never seen a movie so late at night before and now I have a good reason not to: people that were there at that time of night seem to be Ah Bengs and rempits.
About the movie...
- Didn't hear the Michael Sheen-ess in the White Rabbit. Either means that he sucks at voice acting, or they didn't need to get Michael Sheen.
- Everytime I see Anne Hathaway (as the White Queen), I remember reading somewhere that her performance was inspired by Nigella Lawson - which showed, btw. Had to refrain from laughing out loud.
- Love Alan Rickman and Stephen Fry as the caterpillar and the Cheshire Cat, respectively. Absolem was Snape in caterpillar form, haha. I'm also a sucker for Stephen Fry's voice, so it goes without saying.
- Christopher Lee's voice lasted 5 seconds as the Jabberwocky before its tongue got slashed off. Wonder how much was the guy paid for that stint.
- The guy sitting next to me was having a little too much fun - he was laughing at the stupidest things in the movie.
- About the 3D movie-going experience: wearing the 3D glasses over my own glasses was doable and clearer than me just wearing the 3D glasses. A bit taxing on the brain. But no headaches and I could watch 3D movies.
