Week 13, 2010 - Cheng Beng/Easter weekend

  • Health-wise, better.
  • Bought a round trip, day trip ticket to Singapore because Firefly had a FB promo code that fans could use. Thing was that you had a few days to book for travel within the month of April.  (Don't start with me). Figured I should kill two birds with one stone and see if I could cover the places I wanted to cover in a day as well as try out Firefly. The last time I did a day trip to Singapore was a 12 hour jaunt when I was fourteen - over the border from JB by bus with my cousin.
  • "Celebrated" Easter Sunday (we don't) by having crab lunch at Tak Fook in Kepong. Dad invited the uncle along, who's never been there before. Google the place; it's been renovated since we were last there and the decor is a bit more upscale, but the rest... not so much.
  • Weekend weather - pretty damn hot.
  • Was supposed to do Cheng Beng but Gran is in Terengganu until Wednesday. Just as well - not in the mood to deal with the Easter traffic.... :P
  • Programs and prices for PJLAugh Fest released. Am getting a ticket to at least one of the shows soon.
  • Trying out The Book Depository by ordering one of the four "limited edition" Woodstock Moleskine notebooks (cheaper than buying it here, at any rate).
  • Mum got into a minor accident over the week, so as usual it's back to the auto body shop to repair and repaint the spot on Saturday. I said that the owner of the shop should do a loyalty card thing for "regulars" like my dad and the people who cause the dents and scrapes (*coughMumandbrocough*). The guy only got the spot prepped (for painting), but he could only paint next weekend, so...
  • Paid RM19.90 (with the RM10 voucher that's been in my wallet since last year) for a 4GB  Imation thumbdrive at Harvey Norman which was RM37.90 but was on sale for RM29.90.
  • Mamak session with friend Ivan and some of his friends at SS2's Roti and Rice Saturday night. Fun, stress-free, no need to plan so far in advance :P
