I already did the bitch moan about this movie last year so I won't repeat myself. But the reason why the British accents was because it was that way in the games - look up game trailers and TV spots on YouTube, kid you not.
I did wonder how the time-rewinding dagger would work and I didn't get a straight answer from the sibling, who's tried the game. Who knew all you need was to press a button on the hilt :P
It is a popcorn movie, and one where you must also check your brain and logic at the door.
The plot of this movie is very, VERY loosely based on the games.

Random thoughts:
- You can't have Ben Kingsley in a movie like this and not have him pegged as (ultimately) a bad guy. I also find him wearing guyliner a little disconcerting.
- No sign of Gemma Arterton's extra digit anywhere - not sure if it was because the movie moved so fast and I didn't see it, or it was digitally altered out in post-production. She could've had it removed, for all I know.
- Jake Gyllenhaal and the English accent? Sorry, not fooling me. With just about everyone else already being British, it wasn't too bad.
PS. Found the TV spot I remembered from 5 years ago on YouTube - turns out it was for The Two Thrones game :P Oh well.
