Goodbye, Rothmans roundabout

I was driving (or riding, I can't remember which) the Rothmans roundabout the other day and there were signs posted at all four points where the gist is that said roundabout will be converted to a traffic junction next month (I think) while they try to fanagle another flyover ala the one on Jalan Universiti.

When I first read the signs, my first reaction was "aww". I know, I'm funny that way.

There aren't that many roundabouts left in PJ and the other one I knew growing up was the one in SS3, which has been a traffic junction for a good few years now. The other roundabout I usually come across is a parking lot which only opens on Friday afternoons. Some of you know the one (or more).

But with PJ being a city and the traffic getting worse there (the Rothmans roundabout) by the day because of asshole driving and traffic congestion in general, it was just a matter of time.

I would be sad if they got rid of the tiny Ninja Turtle shell-sized one near the industrial area...
