Went to 1U in the afternoon because my bro needed to get to the nearby Plaza IBM for some test. Had lunch at Dave's Deli: what they don't tell you is that the 30% discount off meals from noon to three p.m. Mondays to Fridays also means 30% reduction in the actual meal - the quarter chicken I got seems a little small (and dry when it's not supposed to be) and also the sides of mashed potatoes and coleslaw. But since I only had breakfast a couple of hours prior, I gave some of it to the sibling, supplementing his steak and mushroom pie.
While eating, I saw a few people carrying purple paper bags full of stuff, so I was on the trail after eating and going our seperate ways. Found it soon enough and it was In Trend magazine's 5th anniversary roadshow happening this weekend. Decided to get a copy of the mag (even though I've never touched it before) just for the goodie bag, because it was only RM7.50 and I'm bored that way. Saw a former collegemate, who doesn't remember my name but know me "from somewhere" (also usually the case), who was selling the mag at the counter. Went around the place and got a quick back massage, express manicure (which I might clean off soon anyway), and hand paraffin wax treatment.
Anyway, here's a picture of what was in the bag... for the most part. Loads of samples, some food and drink, yada yada yada. My arms nearly fell off from lugging the huge bottle of Evian for over an hour, so fortunately got the sibling to lug it around for a little while before calling it a day and going home.
