Busy Saturday

Woke up a little too early. After some dawdling, checked out the DKSH warehouse sale. Parked behind Jaya One and walked over (not too far, really) and only spent RM5. Don't ask.

Came home for lunch, drove to Giant Mall to meet someone for a Freecycle thing (finally got rid of my old film camera that I had when I was in primary school/lower secondary that I've not used in over 10 years).

Few hours later drove down to Dad's hometown because he double-booked himself - two wedding dinners in the same night. Guess who drew the short straw.

Anyway, left home a little late and was consequently late enough... that when we got there, it was only the first course at 6.30 p.m., which was good thing cos I was hungry. The whole dinner lasted about 2 hours, which was the only good thing about dinners here. But I think the World Cup had more to do with that than anything else.

The food wasn't exactly the usual courses that you would know in a KL dinner, which was a nice change. But it doesn't mean it was not any healthier - after a couple of fatty meat dishes, they had a palate cleansing tong sui in the middle of meal. The only thing we skipped was dessert and left early to beat the exodus at a wedding where we didn't know either bridal party personally. I felt like a wedding crasher.
