Acmamall.com - Decent customer service, sucky delivery of goods

Acmamall.com recently had this Facebook promotion where you can their coupon code to get 32% discount for book purchases as well as free shipping in Malaysia.

So fine. I bought a coffee table book that I wanted to get with the code.

My order was supposedly despatched on 22 October, but nothing. I've called customer service the day before the long weekend to ask what happened. Apparently they recently changed the hub from Malaysia to Singapore and that my order would be arriving from Singapore. I was told to call again if I've not received it last week. With the looming long weekend, it was just a stupid idea and so I waited until the following week (which is to say, THIS week).

So fast forward to this week - zilch. I emailed them about it (profanity-free), as well as called customer service (again) today. I guess they had to cut costs so badly that they used NORMAL POST to send my book, which has no tracking. FML. The last time I ordered a book from them, it least arrived via courier service. And I at least have gotten books from the other side of the planet. But Singapore? Really?! It's not that far leh!!

I haven't had the best of luck receiving anything non-registered by post lately - do I blame the post office, the postman, or customs? - and was told that I'd be refunded if I didn't get my book by the end of THIS week.

I just might take them up on it, mark my words.
