I was fortunate enough to get a ride and a kaki out to the this year's Big Bad Wolf Books sale happening at South City Plaza because I wasn't sure if I would've gone myself. Two PJ girls who haven't seen each other in ages driving to Sri Kembangan sounds like a plot of a roadtrip movie. HAHAHA.
We left PJ about 9.40 a.m. and got there a little after 10 a.m., thanks to Google Maps. Luckily for the both of us, we made it there okay save for ONE rectifiable wrong turn we made on the way there. We were in the same lift as one of my FB friends, but I didn't feel like saying hi. The mall itself is a little desolated and reminds me of Summit. But hey, found the sale after all from following the crowd and was fortunate not to have to line up to go in (based on the crowd inside, I think they had spent some time outside waiting).
Sure the space was bigger and there were more books, but I was still sweating from the stuffiness. I was also glad we were in and out pretty quickly too - we were there about 1.5 hours (I was done by Hour One, but one waits for one's friends, no?). I think we both got decent hauls in the end, although my friend wanted to get more Agatha Christies (which were probably swept up by other people the day before, it happens) than what she found.
If anyone wants to know what I bought, here's a picture of the haul. Damage was pretty minimal at RM39 (three RM5 books and three RM8 books), I thought it was pretty worth it. Parking in the mall is RM1 for the first 12 hours (don't ask). And we both learnt something new today :P
If you've not been - you have until the 17th to do so. You've been warned.
Had lunch at Section 17 Kanna afterwards.
