I was one of the first people to buy a Groupsmore deal back in September for a wax session in Apronbay - RM39 for a choice between the Brazilian wax (U.P. RM98) or the full leg wax (RM105), which is quite a deal. And yes, I'm quite promiscuous when it comes to waxing salons - I don't mind trying out other places as long as I'm paying less.
Took me long enough to finally use the voucher and since it's close to the end of the year, thought I'd use it while I still could as my last wax session for 2010. So I got the first appointment slot of the day at 11 a.m. on Saturday - but I didn't expect street parking to be such a bitch at that time of day and ended up paying for more than I would've liked. Urgh.

At first glance, the place is a little too quiet, but that might have something to do with being there at 11 in the morning than anything else. I was offered drinks (tea or water) upon entry and brought to this room... pretty, but meh.
The person who waxed me either looks really young for her age, or she was indeed younger than me. Either way, when I felt the warm wax being applied more than once in the same area (which stings, by the way), I had the feeling that I was dealing with someone a little green.
I feel so bad for so many different reasons at the time, when she asked if I wanted a post-wax cooling down serum, I said sure since it was only gonna cost me another RM10 - I would rather suffer had I paid full price for the wax session.
How'd it go, post wax? I feel better after the cooling serum, but there are still discernable hairs, which irks me a little. I don't know if it's anything to do with me using the voucher (which I can't help but think that) - I am paranoid like that.
Would I go back? I admit, it's a cute concept for a salon and the hospitality was great (I was offered another glass of water and a hot towel afters), but I doubt that I'd go back in the near future or even regularly unless there are discounts or someone else pays :P
If based on the results - then perhaps not. I get why some of the other bloggers are excited about the place (mostly because they're comped); had I paid full price, I would be a tad annoyed.
Also not forgetting their Facebook page - Apronbay
