Kiehl's Christmas soiree

Decided to check out the Kiehl's Christmas party happening at the KLCC store because it was just a train ride away and because I've never been before because I had a job and wouldn't have bothered with it previously. Taking the train into town during rush was a little surreal and also not very crowded for the first half of the journey. Was at the mall early because I had wanted to walk around for a bit before the soiree, and besides they were still setting up the food table when I first walked past.

Cotton candy machine! Yay!
Only finally got there, signed in, got a name tag after I made the rounds at the art gallery and there was a game in progress - they got a bunch of people to make a balloon dog and whoever made it the fastest (after a demonstration, of course) wins some goodies.

Food spread - before

And before I knew it, people started attacking the buffet table. The problem with being civil and actually lining up was this...

Okay lah... it wasn't like this lah - there was more food one; I only took this once I disposed of my plate and my hands are free to handle the camera again.

The store was a little packed and the crew was busy handing out drinks, which came in test tubes, which had to be constantly cleaned and refilled because they were test tubes. If the drinks came in beakers it would be another story.

When I asked them if there was gonna be anything else after the makan, I was told that they wanted to do another game, but the store is a little packed because it involved running around (O_o). So I got the door gift on my way out.

Contents of the door gift - hmm
There was an elderly lady who had clearly gate-crashed the party - she had her fill of the food, but didn't get the swag because her name wasn't on the list. I have to give the woman props lah.

If there was one thing I had to comment on was that the buffet table should be set up in a way that there's a flow instead of a clog at the end.
