News of the new Starbucks siren logo (to celebrate its 40th anniversary) has been in the wind for a few days now. The only marked difference the new logo present is the absence of the words "STARBUCKS COFFEE" surrounding the siren.
I don't get why people are complaining about this, particularly some of the partners. People will get used to it like they do everything else.
I think that the mermaid logo can stand on its own (pardon the pun) and I personally like that the logo doesn't scream STARBUCKS in my face whenever I see people carrying to-go tumblers, mugs or paper cups. But I think stocking up on stuff with the current (old) logo would be a good idea, and a better idea would be to start getting mugs with the old Pike Place logo (which are still available in certain stores if you know where to look).
Get over it already.
