The whole country slowed down this week because of the double celebration of Hari Raya and Merdeka day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (a gahmen gimme). Of course this also doesn't happen all that often, Hari Raya and Merdeka so close together.
Which just means that if you wanted anything done in an official capacity, you would have to suck it up with the worse service (than usual?) or wait until everyone is back at work next week.

- Love the empty streets.
- Went to a different mall every day during the break.
- Finally checked out the Payless Shoesource in Pyramid. Saw some shoes I liked, but not enough to buy them.
- Also finally checked out newly renovated Jusco in the second home. Not too bad.
- Found out that both Matthew Pearl and Jeffrey Eugenides are expected to have new novels out in the coming months. Can't wait to get them cheaper in 2013.
- There's a PC version of Angry Birds Rio - get it, and get the patch as well.
- Finally got round to reading Matthew Pearl's The Last Dickens. Yeah, I didn't know Dickens died not finishing The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
- Wants to test out the Philips Airfryer - it is scary, the rate at which my mum pan fry stuff.
