Night before: Former coursemate from Brunei had a free night in her business trip and wanted to catch up over dinner and drinks with whoever was around and available. It was pretty last minute (I only found out that morning) and it was at Vineria in BSC.
So I went early to walk around and I bought a slice of chocolate mille crepe (delicious!) at Huckleberry Cafe in Times Bookshop as well as try out their Whoopie Pies (bit too sweet, even for me). Bought to go, of course. Yes, I know you can get the same mille crepe cake at Food Foundry, but there was a 30% discount if you buy cake after 6 p.m. at Huckleberry.
Also finally bought a copy of Coldplay's new album, Mylo Xyloto, for RM39.90 (locally pressed; the import was RM45.90) at Victoria Music. Usual retail price? RM45.90 and RM49.90, respectively - kid you not. That's the only reason why I still buy CDs there instead of Rock Corner. That, and we don't have HMV in Malaysia :(
Anyway, chewed the fat with whoever came by until closing at 1.30 a.m., and only got into bed around 2 something.
Day of: The neighbours were invited for a Diwali open house nearby. Saw a high school senior whom I'm not sure knows that I even exist or that I only live down the road from him (haha). Didn't eat much as it was still too soon after breakfast for me. Spent the rest of the day at home catching up on shows while running around while the 'rents were busy cleaning out the grease filters and whatever goes on above the gas stove (argh, can't remember what it's called specifically).
