Killer Elite

After weeks of putting it off, I finally saw Killer Elite, starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert De Niro. I wanted to watch when I first heard the buzz about it (and giggled at the trailer), but after hearing about how bad it is I put it off, and now I was like, what the heck - just go watch and judge it for myself.

It's your standard Jason Statham action-packed movie where he's played the same character most of his movie career - 'nuff said. Keep the expectations low, don't think too much about it and you'll be fine.
  • Clive Owen - even with the horrendous 'tache and fake glass eye, the man is still vaguely hot and could still be Lancome's poster boy :P I really don't understand why the need to grow the 'tache out - if he's doing it to up his douche-factor, he's done a beautiful job of it.
  • The sight of these guys stunt-driving around London in these tiny cars (think Mr Bean's car) cracks me up a little
  • DeNiro wasn't too bad in this movie - he's got his funny moments...
  • The swear words were kept in. In Malaysia. I KNOW.
  • Okay, I DID NOT KNOW that Dominic Purcell was NOT American. I'm fooled. Good on you, sir.
  • I also didn't know the chick from Chuck (haha) was actually Australian - or that had slipped my mind... I don't watch Chuck, okay.
  • Liked the choreography of the fight scenes: I especially enjoyed watching the one where Jason Statham fights two guys tied down to a chair - that was bad ass.
  • I brain-farted about the movie being set in the 1980s - no wonder the trailer was set to Rock You Like A Hurricane :P
Like I previously said about any other movie with Jason Statham - watch it if you're a fan. I personally didn't mind it that much.
