Week 29, 2021

• Grandaunt passed away over the (last) weekend (not COVID-related). Because of the times we're in, the family couldn't exactly do the 3 day wake and funeral process where people can come by to pay their respects, etc. Instead, it scaled down to just immediate family (son/mum's cousin, wife and son) with everyone else attending the wake and funeral via livestream (was expecting a Zoom or Teams event, but the family used Facebook group video call instead, which was kind of awkward cos I was the only one in the household with a Facebook account) and the pek kim (white gold)/funeral contributions/condolence money was through online banking. Such as the times we're in. If nothing else, the woman was always a hoot whenever I see her at family events when I was younger. I think I've only seen her a few times in the few years since before the pandemic. I know my mum visits her at the nursing home she was at in the before-times. 
• So the gahmen decided not to extend the super lockdown in Selangor and just back to regular lockdown (can grocery shop in pairs now, etc) 
• Making the Cut is back!
• After complaining about the delivery delay (according to the tracking, it's been sitting in the local PO for more than a week) to the postal service, my Irvins order finally arrived! 
• I realised that my last Book Depository order also haven't arrived yet. 
• So the defense attorney L&O spinoff is not happening after all. I did say that it reminded me too much of other lawyer shows and erm, The Practice. 
• I dunno if it's pandemic related stress, or the vaccine has some effect on menstrual cycles...?
• With Hari Raya Haji being next Tuesday, we're back to the usual nonsense of the people trying to cross state lines by abusing their employment approval letters.
