It's a bit belated, but a super Coldplay fan that I know of died in a car accident some weeks ago and it finally kinda sunk in. Jennifer John or Nettie to the online community lost her life in a car accident while (reportedly) travelling to a Kasabian concert.
Her sites, mycoldplay.com and guyberryman.net were excellent sources of Coldplay news, pics and gigs not just to me, but to whoever else that frequented either one or both sites. I had wondered what happened to both sites when there was nothing there anymore recently - now no one's updating it anymore.
As far as I remembered her (and of my impressions of her), she was one of the "super" fans - the one that would go to every gig (I mean, EVERY gig) in the UK and the US and she's got the pictures to show for that. She sets the bar really high for the rest of us and put some other people to shame. I might not know her personally, but I was flattered when she added me to her blogroll of fellow Coldplay fans on mycoldplay.com years ago.
If nothing else, she died doing something she liked - most people don't have that going for them.
Rest in peace, Nettie.
