One of those days

Still coughing and spewing, just not as much due to the meds. But the dust and A/C cough-triggers is still annoying.

Dad graciously let me drive his car all the way to Cyber-freaking-jaya for the sub editing test. Left home about a quarter to nine and was about 20 minutes early in the end because the traffic wasn't too bad. Thankfully I didn't have to wait til the top of the hour to take it as I was ushered into a large conference room and put to task immediately. Minutes later two other women joined me, seated in different corners of the conference table.

The test itself probably wasn't TOO difficult - the essay questions (of three, you pick one) were generic enough. BS-ed my way through that. By the time my hour was up, I was checking through everything when the HR person checked in and collected my test paper. Left Cyber around 10 something. If nothing else, at least I found out where a couple of people I know actually work at - they really shouldn't have posted the employee extension list on the front door.

Took the (freaking) long way to Subang because I wanted to check out Empire Shopping Gallery while I was still on that side of the Federal Highway

Got into a minor scrape en route because this idiot in a red MyVi was going straight on a right turn road and I was making said right turn. Didn't manage to honk in time and... oh fuck. In my defense, I did indicate that I was making that turn, so it was the idiot's fault for not seeing it and slowing down. Asshole. Even if I wanted to pull over and confront the idiot, we were in the middle of the fucking traffic, so there was no way it was gonna happen. So I drove off, on my merry way but mood terribly ruined; that idiot driver drove straight on. Asshole. I told Dad about it later and he was just glad that I wasn't hurt or anything. He asked if the other driver was a man or woman - I didn't get a good look, but I thought it might've been a guy with Bieber hair. Asshole.

Empire Shopping Gallery? Basically a mall for Subang people who don't want to drive all the way to PJ or KL for their mall ratting needs. It's like Tropicana City Mall sans cineplex,  but with better shops, which in that case I'll stick to 1U. Parking's still free because not all the units are fully occupied, so go take a look. Oh, and Sunway Giza as well (when I went to check out the flea market there on Sunday) - also free parking at the moment, but not a place I would go often because (among other things) the horrible traffic.

All this, and Mum's on leave today to bring Gran to get her passport done at the old Terminal 2 (now immigration office) in Subang for her upcoming trip to Singapore with one of the aunts and her entire family (by that I mean husband, three boys, maid and mother-in-law). Perhaps I should've just used the word "entourage". Perhaps I should go down there again and not just for the Great Singapore Sale.
