Hated the 20 minutes of ads and trailers before the movie.
And no PCK backstory from me. Google it yourselves.
For the most part, I thought it was entertaining, even if some of the gags ran a little too long... like in Seth MacFarlane shows. You know the ones.
If anyone remembers the TV show, Henry Thia also played Rosie's dad in the TV show. That was my only niggling thought the whole movie.
I have no idea why people complained about the absence of Chu Kang's brother Ah Beng and his wife, Margaret in the movie. I thought it was a right thing to do, considering the plot - Ah Beng and Margaret would just piss me off even more. My only question was if King Kong was there, where was Ah Goon? You know, the short shorts dude whose cousins are Ah Boon and Ah Soon. Heh. Cracked myself up.
My favourite character was Chu Kang's long-thought-dead grandfather (Gurmit Singh with old man makeup), even though he never really came up until halfway through the movie. By the way, the old man makeup was not too shabby.
I found the movie pretty entertaining, but I'm not sure if it's for everyone. Check your expectations at the door.
