Week 38, 2019

Monday was Malaysia day. Weather still hazy this week. Oy vey. At least Indonesia owned up to it, but whatever lah. WTF.
  • Haze was so terrible this week they announced school closures in Selangor for Thursday and Friday, giving school kids a free 4 day weekend. Which made working parents panic because they have to arrange "alternate" childcare options (Can't be any easier for the stay at home parents also). What happened to latchkey kids la?
  • They're shutting down the landmark PJ EPF office. I don't know what's gonna happen to the building or the land, but I'm ok with it - how often do you need to go to EPF in your lifetime?
  • Almost fell for a Poslaju scam call. Oy.
  • Not surprised that Hustlers the movie was banned.
  • A Little Late with Lilly Singh finally started this week.
  • Apparently you can now name and shame companies that don't pay their interns at paidinternship.my
  • Malindo got hacked. WTF.
  • I didn't know there's a musical adaptation of Sepet?
  • Saw a play over the weekend - local production of Nick Payne's Constellations
  • Kayu is joining the mamak/banana leaf rice race in Telawi.
  • Checked out Sugar Mummy Boba nearby.
  • Radiohead online store doing a t-shirt clearance (appropriately named W.A.S.T.E. Disposal Unit), but unless you're really huge or really tiny and love the more recent designs, there's not a lot of choice for most people. But I've also read that sizing gets inconsistent, depending on the design.
Putting this out a little early cos will be out of town and won't be back til Monday.
