Amazing Race Asia Season 3 Teams and Start Date Finally Unveiled

Thanks to a tip off in the Amazing Race Asia group on Facebook, I finally bothered to check the official site because...

SEASON THREE TEAMS ARE FINALLY ANNOUNCED!

Here are this season's contestants....

Natalie & Pailin (Thailand) - Beauty Queens
Sam & Vince (Hong Kong) - Best Buddies
Neena & Amit (India) - Cousins
Niroo & Kapil (India) - Father & Son
William & Isaac (Korea) - Brothers
Ida & Tania (Malaysia) - Actress & Heiress
Henry & Bernie (Malaysia) - Brother & Sister
Geoff & Tisha (Philippines) - Dating Couple
A. D. & Fuzzie (Singapore) - Friends for 15 years
Mai & Oliver (Thailand) - Friends

As usual, there's always the pair of beauty queens, siblings, best friends, yada yada. At least this season got teams from India and Korea. So to those keeping count, it's...

• 2 Thai teams - Natalie & Pailin, Mai & Oliver
  
• 2 teams from India - Niroo & Kapil, Amit & Neena
  
• 2 Malaysian teams,
• 1 Korean team,
  
• 1 Singaporean,

• 1 Hong Kong (or China) team
  

And as usual, there are two Malaysian teams in the race. Not that I'm complaining.

For this season, model/actress/host Bernie Chan and her brother Henry are in, as well as locally (and regionally?) well known actress Ida Nerina and her friend Tania Khan.

Frankly, I'm not sure if they can live up to the impact and legacy that their predecessors had in the previous seasons, but more power and the best of luck to them.

According to the press release, Season 3 is supposed to start on Thursday, 11 September.
