(Don't read on if you've not seen Eternals... you've been warned. Sekian, terima kasih.)
To be honest, I lost track of when this was coming out; I didn't know it was coming out this week. Since I'm already on a self-declared long weekend (me and just about everyone else, it seems), I might as well take the time to watch it.
- At least everyone got to keep their own accents, unlike the Thor cast, where every non-Brit was trying to speak like Tom Hiddleston LOL
- The explanation for how Kingo got to be a movie star for so many years was semi-plausible - being his own movie star lineage. And Karun the valet is adorably funny AF. Also, are they implying that Rajinikanth could also be an Eternal...?
- The saliva beer gag was funny AF
- Totally wasn't expecting the Batman, Superman references in an MCU movie
- I didn't know Bill SkarsgÄrd was in this. Is the guy going for a Doug Jones-esque career? (In case you didn't know [like me], he's the alpha Deviant - can absorb powers, speak, etc)
- Turning the emerging Celestial into marble (or ice, depending on how Sersi's power works) is pretty funny, all things considered. Can mine the thing for centuries to come LOL Once you see the Deviant tree, that's how it's going down in the third act.
- Have to like that how one of the things about Sprite's wish to be human is having to go to school. OMG LOL
- Yeah, you can't disobey a direct order without consequences, y'all.
- I laughed so hard when Harry Styles showed up in the second stinger as THANOS'S BROTHER. WTFBBQ. Yeah, no wonder Thanos had issues lah, LOL Does this mean that he'll be in an MCU movie? Guess we'll find out when we find out. Also yeah, Patton Oswalt as Pip the Troll... kinda tracks (no offense to Mr Oswalt).
- Unless they do a lot of flashback stuff going forward, at least some people don't have the multiple MCU movie contracts that they seem fond of giving out.
- Dunno how Kit Harington got last billing with Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie. The two ladies, I get it, but him...got good agent and/or manager kut. Good on him la.
All in all, don't hate it. Kinda not surprised that the usual scenes would be cut... cos the alternative of not having it on Malaysian cinema screens would bring on a riot. Also made it through the 2.5 hour movie without having to take a pee break, so yay!
