Spider-Man: No Way Home

Redeemed some expiring TGV points to watch this, cos I need to keep up my streak of not paying money to watch these Spider-Man movies.

(Spider-Man movie tally: Saw the first 2 Tobey Macguire ones, none of the Garfield ones, and not Into the Spider-Verse)

  • They got Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock to be his lawyer. Makes sense to me; it would be weird if it was someone else, IMO.
  • Dunno how I never realised that Wong has been Sorceror Supreme the whole time since Strange got snapped. Does this make Strange the Wong in this movie, or there can never be more than one Sorceror Supreme at a time? If I was Wong, I would probably need to unwind by karaoke too LOL
  • After an entire 10 episode season of CSI: Vegas, it was kinda nice to see Paula Newsome again.
  • If you thought May was gonna survive this trilogy of movies... you thought wrong.
  • If you also thought the line "with great power, comes great responsibility" wasn't gonna be uttered in this run of Spider-Man, well... you also thought wrong lah.
  • I still love me that Dr Strange cape. Also, how would Ned know its gender? LOL
  • Aiyoh Ned is such a third wheel LOL
  • All three Spider-Men FINALLY meeting each other and swapping stories is just adorable. (Also adorable is that they're all in a group chat together IRL). But I also already forgot who was Peter 2 and Peter 3.
  • One Spidey against 5 Spidey villains was too much leh.
  • How well equipped is the high school lab for them to redo all the villains' cures in that space? It was probably a step up from Happy's place, I would think lol
  • It would be quite a feat if they squeezed Nicholas Hammond in, but it would also be pointless, and the 21st century Spideys also enough la.
  • Yeah, there's no way the Mouse is gonna let James Franco reprise his Harry Osborn with all the shit that went down in recent years..
  • The closing credits are in the same vein as the previous ones
  • I have to admit, the post credit stinger being a long teaser for the Dr Strange sequel was infuriating, because we all know that it's gonna be online afterwards and I could've saved some time not sitting through the credits for that.
  • I dunno how far the spell goes that people dunno who he is, but he still manages to have some spare change for food, money for downpayment (where he got money?!) AND he has to take the GED?! WTF?! Also, is he even 18 yet ah?
The whole movie is essentially Peter 1's desire to be forgotten and how it fucks everything up.
