Blacklight

If you've seen one late-life Liam Neeson action movie, you've pretty much seen them all.

Yeah, Blacklight is one of those movies you see for no apparent reason at all. Finally got an excuse to go back to the local MBO to watch this (and the ticket was still cheaper than the other cineplex chains #justsaying).
Travis Block is a government operative coming to terms with his shadowy past. When he discovers a plot targeting U.S. citizens, Block finds himself in the crosshairs of the FBI director he once helped protect.
It's a mix of movie and TV people in this, some I recognise from other TV shows. On paper, it sounds pretty good: Government agency doing the Peacemaker thing of killing people to maintain the peace (or status quo, depending on how you look at it), all the cloak and dagger stuff that goes with trying to expose all that. But at the end of the day, it's a standard Liam Neeson action movie - fine, but kinda forgettable.

At least it's not over 2 hours long, which is something I miss these days.
  • My guess is everyone else signed on because it's Liam Neeson?
  • If you didn't figure out that Aidan Quinn is the bad guy in this piece, then well..
  • I was trying to place where I seen the lady playing the daughter character before, and it was from Hawaii Five-O
  • At least the stunts he's doing is age appropriate - not too physical or strenuous
