Week 27, 2023

Still got some lingering sinus issues, but it's a way for me to use up the antihistamine I got from the pharmacy. 

Also took Thursday off, mostly to go to the Bukit Jalil Pav, cos I'm not masochist enough to go there during evening rush hour, and I have too much PTO as it is.

Also finally got to claim warranty (lucky it was 3 years, and it's nearly getting there) cos haven't been able to update BIOS for the longest time. After some back and forth with tech support both phone and mostly by email (for the step-by-step instructions), they conceded and asked me to bring in the laptop for them to change out the motherboard. Was told would take about 4 working days. Sigh. 

• Been getting a lot of stories of people trying to get tickets to Taylor Swift's show next year cos the presale was this past week (I think - don't care enough to keep track). Bish, 6 shows for the whole SE Asia region mana la cukup beb. Same like Coldplay tickets, it was pretty much all sold out during the presale there was nothing left to sell during the general sale, so ya.
• So Meta came out with their own version of a Twitter-style microblogging app, Threads, that everyone just seemed to have jumped on board for cos all you need was the Instagram login... until it got out that if you deleted Threads, bye bye IG account as well? WTF Zuck.
• Just as the polling date for state elections been announced, roads are now getting their long overdue resurfacing.
