Cameo at the Coldplay KL gig

Took the day off, mostly to go check out the merch at Coldplay's KL gig in Bukit Jalil stadium.

Parked haphazardly at the Awan Besar LRT parking.

Nearly walked the lap around the stadium (again), looking for the merch booth (props to them for having more than one).

Long story short: was in line for almost 1.5 hours, got a couple of t-shirts, and buggered off soon after. Apparently there was miscommunication about what time the different merch booths were supposed to open, the one I was in line at was supposed to open at noon (as per the soc med), but when I was finally paying for the stuff, the kid handling the payment said they were told to open at 1 p.m., which I was like miffed at, but luckily they started letting people buy a little after 12.30 p.m.? Lucky the were many "counters" so the line was moving pretty swiftly, so yay. The security guy (and the kids manning the booth) also mentioned that you can buy up to 4 units of a single item, so at the end it depends on your credit limit and your stomach for debt.

FWIW, RM200 for t-shirts were expensive AF (dunno if they were charging Euro or USD prices), but maybe that's cos I was expecting a little less (between RM150 - 180?)... there's also other merch like reusable bottle, poster, raincoat (very shrewd of them), headwear and sweatshirt. At least they had about 6 - 7 designs you can choose from; just that most of them got the tour dates on the back... The "Everyone is an Alien Somewhere" shirt spoke to me, and didn't have the tour dates behind. Yes, I'm still a little salty about not being able to get a ticket to this, but I would be more annoyed if I managed to get a ticket because of my own beef with Bkt Jalil as a location in general.

Redeemed a frapp before I made my back to the LRT station;
turns out can redeem Starbucks rewards from the mobile trucks?

NGL, I'm probably gonna do another round of merch browsing next year, so this is not the end. I'm also hoping that it'd be around the SG$50 - 60 range or something, if the exchange rate don't go to 4:1 by then. Sigh.
