Started the day early(ish) yesterday: I drove to the GBA warehouse sale in Puchong. Didn't buy too much (mostly Fisherman's Friend for mum and the Strawberry Fields Tic Tacs for myself) and more importantly, nothing chilled or refrigerated so I didn't have to go back home afters.
So I paid the second toll from PJ (first was the Sunway toll to Puchong) to Cyberjaya to check out the new BookXcess outlet in Tamarind Square because they were having a storewide 20% off opening gambit for the weekend. The queue to pay was nuts - it was as if the books were free or what.
Tamarind Square itself seems pretty and all but is still new, so it's still dusty in places and only a couple things were open. (Village Grocer not opened yet, but if you're peckish there's always the MyNews downstairs cos only the bookstore itself is open and not the adjoining cafe, etc). Despite the size, I came away empty handed and that was after walking several rounds. There were also no lights on in some areas, but I'm sure it won't be that way down the road.
There was also nothing to eat at Tamarind Square, so I ended up at the standalone drive thru McDs nearby for a late lunch.
Since I was already out and on the way back, I thought I'd swing by Subang for another warehouse sale before calling it a day.
And this is why I can never do 5.5 day work weeks.
