V Hotel Bencoolen, Bencoolen St

Finally got to try out a V Hotel (famous budget hotel chain in Singapore besides Hotel 81, etc) over the weekend.

Getting there: Right next to one of the exits of Bencoolen MRT station (Exit A), can't miss it.

Checking in: Only got there a little before their 2 p.m. check-in time. Also didn't need to pull out my Agoda confirmation as they only asked for passport. Yeah, I didn't really want them to know how much I paid for the room anyway. (Redeemed my PayPal balance and Agoda credit)

There's a small pool on the third floor, which I took advantage of because everyone else was presumably out and about town. Me? It was too hot to walk outside, basically.

Room: Cosy and erm, adequate. Because I neglected to say that I was checking in alone, I got TWO keycards. Was told during check in that you would need to switch on the TV for the room Wi-Fi password. Air cond was hard to adjust in this particular room. There's no plug points besides the bed (just at the desk), so no bedside charging and soc med browsing.

Sleep: Slept okay, considering. Wish I could adjust the AC better so I wasn't waking up at 4 a.m. cos it was too cold and I couldn't breathe properly. Was watching a few YouTube videos on the TV before I was sleepy enough to doze off again.

I suppose I could bookmark this place for another stay...?
