Highs:

Impossible plant-based meat substitute is almost everywhere in Singapore, so you don't have to go to some high-end restaurant to try it. By almost everywhere, I mean quick serve-y places, so you would still need to keep a sharp eye out if you don't want to pay through the nose to try. So far I was only aware of Stuff'd, Swensen's (whoda thunk) and maybe SaladStop!
Oklah, I think I had it at the Stuff'd that was in T2, in chili con carne form. I'm still not entirely sure as to whether it was actual Impossible, or just regular beef; but in chilli form, it tasted like beef to me.
But who's to say that restauranteurs are passing off regular beef as Impossible to cash in on the trend?

Gave Shake Shack another shot when I had a ridiculously early dinner at 5 p.m. They finally have designated luggage space for the tourists. Line was faster and the wait for the food wasn't as long as the first time, but it might be because it was a regular Thursday afternoon and not the weekend or any holiday on either side of the Tebrau Straits, or because I only ordered a regular ShackBurger (wasn't hungry enough for fries). Or maybe the staff got their shit together.
I even managed to get a table to sit without having to chope with packet tissue. I also shared the table with a fellow lone diner when they asked.
I don't know if it was because I was that hungry or it was that good.
If I end up there again, I would have to give the SmokeStack and Shack Stack a try. Just not at the same time.
Lows:
- Flight home delayed by two hours because of the bad weather in KL. I wish I was kidding.
- Definitely should try a different place to stay next time I'm there. But it also depends on what I'm doing there next.
