Candidates for the state elections finally revealed this week; it's a 3 way race in my neck of the woods, there's also a really young MUDA candidate in the mix.
- Gahmen finally giving RM100 e-wallet credit to people earning under RM100K per annum, which sounds like a lot of people, to be honest.
- 2 hour orange lined bays finally in DU (not all the lots, just the really high traffic ones). Dunno how it's being enforced, or how much more the parking is compared to regular parking bays.
- Now we know which song Muse took out of their set for here: it was We Are Fucking Fucked. Should've known. The fact that they did this also made the international music news sites and what not.
- First meet up dinner (in almost 5 years!) with the coursemates on Wednesday night because the Americans are back for summer holidays. Why haven't the rest of us met up in that time? Between the pandemic and as the person who used to organise back in the day (pre-WhatsApp), it was starting to feel like work. And no one in this cohort are having milestone celebrations at this point, so yah.. We made a ruckus (even with the large private room) at the new Gem outlet in DU and we were sober. Food was not bad, so I can't complain too badly. There was a lot of shop talk because at least half the people present are practicing counsellors/lecturers, etc, which I didn't mind too much.
