With the state elections coming up, here comes the various voter perks all over again. Only got to the polling centre a little before 10 a.m. (despite getting out of bed around 9 something, and after breakfast), and was done in under 5 minutes. I guess because it's not the BIG gahmen elections, people don't see the need to return to vote, which is fine by me if it means I don't risk getting heatstroke or heat exhaustion being in line for a couple hours just to fulfill this one obligation.
Most I got this past weekend was finally having an excuse to go to IPC on a weekend and NOT having to buy some inane item from IKEA for the parking cos can redeem free parking (Ok, I was also there to unload cardboard boxes, but ya), and discounted meals.
For entertainment (I guess), I've been watching YouTube recaps of shows that I'm never gonna watch - GoT, Succession, etc; it's a whole thing. You know, the shows people are always buzzing about. After watching these recaps I'm kinda glad I didn't invest that time to watch.
- Even with a double strike going on, they've already cut someone from FBI: Most Wanted for next season. Dang.
- Strange Planet the TV show is out.
- Kinda hilarious that there's now 2 stores, both selling near expiry snacks and drinks, are on the same street (but almost at opposite ends) in DU. I can't even.
- The gigantic Daiso in the second home is having a clearance sale before it gets renovated (about time) next month. Everything in store that was RM5.90 is now RM3, other high value items are half off. Most of the remaining stock is pretty old, so chances of finding anything you want or useful is kinda slim even though it's been a couple of days since they put the in-store notice out cos people are borong-ing weird shit like it's free. But I gotta give the cashiers props for working as fast as they can, cos I notice that the queue was moving pretty quickly for how long it was. Got some weird shit for myself, ngl.
