Spent the afternoon at Chef & Brew for the month's Bookcrossing meetup for change of scenery.
Getting to Bukit Damansara turned out to be the easy part. Finding the actual restaurant took awhile - it wasn't until I saw the Epicure sign that I was basically wandering around like some idiot. It didn't help that there was more than one one-way street (or something) going on in that area and I thought I found myself going the wrong way at times. Very confusing area.
Long story short, I got there in one piece. Food looks and tastes good. I ordered myself a turkey BLT (three slice toasted and buttered slices of white bread with slices of turkey bacon and tomato with lettuce on the side) and ice lemon tea. I think there was a little too much butter on the bread as it started gushing out as I was digging into it.
Until I was picking through someone else's Spicy Tuna Salad (abandoned and oddly devoid of any actual tuna) and putting it on my own plate, that I saw something that wasn't supposed to be on there, period.

I saw a freaking WORM!!! Really!! I dunno why I didn't bother to take a picture of it, but it was there, wandering around in the bit of tuna salad, trying to avoid my fork. Because it was brown, it might also be a leech. I showed everyone else at the table the little intruder and reactions were mixed: amusement and disgust. The wait staff took away my half-finished BLT (they thought it came from the tiny bit of salad that came with the BLT, not knowing that I was helping myself to the tuna salad also) while I was still a little hungry and resorted to slowly sipping my ice lemon tea (thankfully creature-free). I don't think I want to know how many of them I might have already ingested at that point, but as long as they're not tapeworms, the pH in my stomach would take care of them.
All that aside, the place wasn't too bad lah. I think they took the BLT off the bill rather than the salad (the former cost RM2 more anyway : P), haha.
