After nearly 10 years, went to the movies with my cousin to watch Johnny Depp sing in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. (The last movie we saw together was Spiceworld, and that was AGES ago).I don't know why they didn't market this as a musical, but... what the heck. Everyone sang lah. There's a lot of blood split.
Gist of the story is: man wrongfully imprisoned for having hot wife, comes back 15 years later, hooks up with his landlady and lives upstairs her pie shop, seeks revenge by becoming killer barber, slitting customers' throats and clearing their bodies as pie filling on his way to have his revenge toward the judge who put him away for having said hot wife. Kills a lot of people in process.
Personally my stomach couldn't stomach the fake blood and death going all over the place. (Yes, I DO KNOW that it's all fake) So much so my bladder gave me a brief respite and I had to go to the loo. Even then I was keeping my eyes closed half the movie.
Finally: if you like this sort of thing go for it. If you like Johnny Depp enough, go see it also.
