Tried reading Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting and Ted Lewis' Get Carter (or formerly known as Jack's Return Home), but I don't know if it's cos they're from a different era or I bodoh or what lah, but I just can't get into it. Decided to watch the movies instead when possible (haha).
I also tried reading Ian McEwan's Atonement, but also not much luck - can't get past the fact that one stupid girl fucked up so many people's lives. Didn't want to watch the movie, either (even though James McAvoy's in it)
Also reading Michael Ruhlman's Soul of a Chef - more my steam, I think. About halfway through that.
