New Mew album this year, yay!

It's been about 4 years since Danish prog rock band, Mew (not Muse) released And The Glass Handed Kites (where the tracks blend seamlessly from one track to the next; a favourite album of mine), and I'm glad to hear that they're releasing a new album around August. At least, according to this piece from Spin. It's not like I could get it immediately anyway - it'll take awhile.

This is one band who gets better with time (can't say the same for Franz Ferdinand, but that's another story). And probably the only Danish band that I know and actually like. I wonder if I could use that in conversation with anyone from Denmark :P

I'm not sure if it's Scandinavian music in general or just them, but the title's a mouthful:

No more stories
Are told today
I’m sorry
They washed away

No more stories
The world is grey
I’m tired
Let’s wash away

I'm not sure how I'm gonna ask for it in the shops here (Rock Corner's pretty good, admittedly - just don't ask the stereotypical Ah Beng types that work there) apart from referring to it as "the new Mew album".

But at least it's not as long as that title of that
Fiona Apple album....or that Chumbawamba album.

I'm not too crazy about the album cover - frankly, it's ugly as heck - but at least it's not as creepy as the album art for the last album.
