X-Men Origins: Wolverine

So I finally bit the bullet and saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Gonna refer to it as Wolverine from here on out cos it's too long. And if you've not seen it, too bad - I'm gonna spoil it here and there, so you've been warned.

A lot of people would (and have) said it sucks, and I agree with those people to a degree. On the other hand, it's not meant to be an intelectually stimulating movie, so as a early summer movie, it's done its job of entertaining already.

I didn't hear too much about the hype going in, so I didn't really know who else was gonna be in it. Not that it mattered because all I know about X-Men is from watching what little of the cartoon that I've seen back in the day.

I can't take Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth seriously - everytime I see his face, all I could think of was when he was on CSI and also his hamster-like cheeks (the facial hair doesn't really help). But I did call Dominic Monaghan's character's death right before it happened (I think the guy who sat next to me gave me the stink eye - but come on, how can you NOT see that one coming?) And Ryan Reynolds was only in it for about 10 minutes TOPS.... if you count the last third of movie, maybe twenty.

I should've known better to stick around to watch the post-credit scenes (I forgot - and I only saw one of the three that appeared), but reading what I missed were on IMDB, I'm kinda glad I didn't cos I lost my appetite after reading it.

All in all, I thought it was (to quote Randy Jackson), ai-ite; it's nothing that I would actually sit down to watch again anytime soon.
