Week 24, 2009

• After five years, I finally saw the first episode of the Tonight Show with Conan 'O Brien - the opening bit where he makes like he "forgot" to move to LA and had to run across the country to get to the show was funny. The guy is 6' 4" - he probably could do it if he didn't look so funny running in a suit. But when the theme song kicked in (it was the same as his Late Night tune, I thought, "liddat might as well be the LA version of Late Night ...". I get that everyone else was the same - same band, etc - the only difference was that Andy Richter is back as his show announcer/sidekick. I miss the Masturbating Bear and can't wait to see it again, haha.
  
  
• David Carradine died, possibly from autoerotic asphyxiation (sorry, I love saying that, haha) in Thailand and not suicide as earlier theorised. If it was the former... dude, what a way to go lah. At least the hotel he was found in will be a notorious tourist attraction of sorts. It's like Elvis and toilet thing.
  
  
• Started Andrew Leci's Once Removed. Page turner.
  
  
• Mum got the rear seatbelts installed when she had Thursday and Friday off. Maternal efficiency. I heard that there shouldn't be problems getting it installed now.
  
  
• Weather still too hot - I think we now have summer-esque weather since it's only supposed to be better in September. Had to get my hair thinned and trimmed cos I'm overheating like siu mai.
  
  
• Cousin's mum is in the hospital for colon cancer and was admitted to Sunway Medical to operate on the tumour. Got dragged there by Dad and as we got there she was being wheeled into the OR. Killed some time with her kids (my older cousins) in the cafeteria before heading home. Not sure if the Starbucks was open or not as the part of the hospital it was at is under renovation.
  
  
• Weather still damn hot. If this wasn't Malaysia I'd say summer's already got a head start :P
