Like most people with a work schedule, I had to turn in and waited until later to watch it. Even then, I didn't watch it in one sitting as I saw the second half on Astro when I was channel surfing. Am now watching the first half on 8TV.
It was the biggest scale, publicly televised celebrity memorial service we will all have claimed to watch years from now on. It's like watching the moon landing for this generation. It was at the Staples Center in LA to hold everyone in attendance (I'm guessing). To show solidarity, his brothers wore one sparkly, sequinned glove to commemorate their brother.
I thought Brooke Shields's eulogy was not bad. I had to give everyone props for holding it in the way they did.
If you follow the hash tags on Twitter, you can read attendees' tweets about it - here's E!'s take on it.
Pretty star studded and the moment when his kid Paris breaks down in tears is all I ever hear about in the news about it.
This might explain the sucky internet connection with half the planet trying to stream the memorial service online from work.
