An all nighter at work and afters..

Had an all-nighter experience at the office that I wouldn't wish on anyone but my worst enemy, but I guess most people would have had at some point or another in their working life: apart from a brief dinner break, quick shower and change of clothes, I had been (as well as other people) in the office from 9 a.m. Thursday to 11-ish a.m. Friday. WTF.

Don't want to go into the specifics about WHY the all nighter, but you're welcome to venture a guess/theory.

After an iced kopi and some double roti kahwin from Old Town that the other company's boss bought for everyone around midnight and half a char siew pau some hours later, I didn't really eat that much.

It's been awhile since I was up all night under duress (the other time was when I was trying to stay awake on the bench outside the Ramada in downtown Minneapolis years ago, that's another story); while it was doable, but I can't help but feel like a retard afterwards because being sleep deprived for extended hours is like being drunk.

So when everything was done and I got the green light to go home and not come back in later, I didn't go home to sleep. No sirree, bob. I decided to go about it like how you would deal with jetlag - by not sleeping until nighttime.

But I did go home to shower and change and eat Maggi for lunch after some dicking around with Google Wave (finally got an invite from a friend back in the States).

Saw the latest CSI: Miami and then decided to go to the bank for an errand I can't do when it's not open. Then I drove to Tropicana City Mall just because I could and it's a Friday afternoon.

Went on a scouting trip to Ikano with the sibling (who, as I type this, is attempting to get the 30% discounted Windows 7 Home Premium which goes on sale at 7 p.m.) and dropped by Daiso (ended up with another CD box and some B5-sized ziplock bags).

Finally went to bed close to midnight.
