mac studio opening in BSC

Got out of bed at 11 a.m. (after being rudely awakened by the phone earlier - Mum wanted to know what I wanted for breakfast). Decided to go check things out because I had nothing else to do. Left the house in the after the noon hour. Fortunate to have found parking outside. Checked out the line and tried my luck and I got the very last number for the 100 Woohoo! Boxes (a mystery box of stuff) being given away today.

  Got picture taken with the rest of the last ten people in line as well as on my own (made sure that my face wasn't in the shot). So underdressed in tank top, shorts and flip-flops. Oh well. Didn't stop the dozen people or so behind me joining in the line. Heard that the first person in line had been there since 8.30 a.m. Call it dedication or kiasuism.

Edwin Sumun played emcee today - it's been awhile since I last saw him anywhere. I missed hearing his deep, sexy voice. Yes, I know he bats for the other team.

You know it's a Chinaman store opening with the presence of lion dance troupe to kick things off. For some reason it felt like forever. And bloody loud.

Fortunately for the starving people in line, there were servers carrying around h'or oeuvres (platter of cheese sticks, julienned carrots and cucumbers with dip, chocolate cake, meatballs, drinks), so it wasn't too bad.

I was in the line for over 2 hours because the 99 people before me had to open their boxes and have their picture taken with their boxes. What a long wait.

Sorry got distracted by this guy's very colourful pair of New Balance sneakers. The 10 or so people behind me got RM10 Starbucks vouchers - also something I could've used. But I got this instead.... (rest of the stuff includes: a pair of mac studio car window shades, lanyard, cap and a voucher for free calendar printing). 

 

a RM99 (I checked) metal orange iPhone/iPod dock. Oh well. Yes, I know the desk is a mess.

I am keeping the box. For storage of stuff, you know.
