Office dinner Friday night was at that oft-mentioned Japanese buffet place
Tenji in Solaris as the office "Sport Club" activity. The manager who suggested it had VIP membership or something like that, and because there weren't that many of us going so the high price tag wasn't too bad. It was the first time I bothered to join in because I've been curious about the place for a while.
Anyway, went home, showered, changed (clothes AND car - some of the cow-orkers couldn't believe I'm going home to change CAR) and drove there alone. I think the only people that know where it was was the aforementioned manager and myself - the rest had no clue but they're still pretty much on their own since I've only been once. And I sort of missed a turn going there, but I still made it. SohoKL night parking considered pretty cheap already (RM1 per entry after 6 p.m.), so I did.

| Durians - sucked: not sweet |
| Fruit juices and sliced fruit - latter not sweet |
| Cold side dishes |
| Goes to show how popular the fresh oysters are |
| Chocolate fountain, meringue, cookie and marshmallows on the stick - enjoyed the meringue more on its own |
| HAAGEN DAZS! |
| Allegedly one of the VIP dishes - cheese baked oysters |
| VIP dessert - never tried it, the red topping was too tart |
| Fresh coconut - think our group cleaned them out |
| Free flow Carlsberg |
| Dessert (saw a baby cockroach roaming in there, so didn't really have anything) |
| ...but none here, so I took the Mocha Cheesecake |
Most of the food was so-so - I was more crazy over the presence of Haagen Dazs and Baskin Robbins than I did the rest of the food - some of the more popular items like the fresh oysters (which would cost more per platter than the price of admission), seafood was okay (duh it's the Japanese seafood place after all).
All in all, glad that I didn't pay for it :P
