Vaseline Amazing Skin media event

I got a call from Nuffnang yesterday asking me if I was able to attend this media event (as a blogger) at Vila Manja, which is located on Jalan Damai. (I had responded to a tweet they put out a few days before). Curious, I said yes... and then madly Google Map-ped the place for driving directions as I've never heard of the place, let alone having been there.

I was amazed that I was able to find the place and to be there early, even though I only left home under an hour before. Lucky me.

I signed in, got the media package (press release, a CD-R and a 30 minute massage voucher) and promptly took pictures of the place and the Vaseline gallery.

Not recommended for the inebriated nor the uniquely coordinated
The brunch buffet spread by San Francisco Coffee, but I don't remember seeing any coffee... there was tea, yogurt drink, some weird drink I never got round to try, garden salad (with dressing on the side - thousand island and French), veggie pie and muffins. Took a couple bottles of water just because and mostly had the yogurt drinks and the salad after the panel discussion.

Event started proper at 11 a.m., emceed by Jojo Struys. After a quick word by the Senior Brand Manager Ray, there was a contemporary dance performance and after that, a panel discussion with Kimberlycun, Daphne Iking, and Zalina Mecja on how your skin reflects your life story.

With the token I got when I signed in, I went upstairs for the "pampering" session, which is basically a 10 minute shoulder massage by the masseuses present. The woman who massaged me might be petite, but her hands... wah, pain lah! And I tried to putting on a brave face in front of the other people present (media media people and other bloggers) while I feel bruised like a tomato. Failed miserably as they could tell the pain from my face :P

Got a (last one, in fact - which they tell me is for the bloggers... or so they say) basket of goodies on the way out - full size bottles of Vaseline body lotions, loofah, bath gloves, hand mirror and pumice stone.

Good thing I decided to drive.
