Woke up around 6 Friday to drive the sibling back to Cyberjaya for the graduation rehearsal. Apart from getting stuck at the Sunway toll plaza, I got back around 8 something with little fuss.
Hitched a ride out to the train station to go check out the Femme City event at KLCC (as in the convention centre). If there's one thing Malaysians can't resist is a free goodie bag - you collect a survey/contest form from the information counter, go around the floor collecting stamps from the big vendors (which are spitting distance from one another) and collect it back outside. The catch is that the bags are for the first 1,000 people per day over the weekend. So a lot of people were doing that, completing their survey forms, collect goodie bag, and then going right back in to properly explore the floor.
I like how there was a guy corner so that they could play video games and pool while waiting for their significant others. I wonder how that's working out. As I was there on the first day, so naturally there would be some bigwig present for the opening ceremony, the obvious choice being the Minister for Women and Family Development, Datuk Seri Sharizat.
Walked the floor a couple of times, but didn't get anything, which was good.
It was a different story altogether once I walked back in to the mall. The Isetan sale started and when I walked past earlier, there was a group of older people waiting for the doors to open. It was like they were giving shit away for free. Bought a pack of Keebler choc chip cookies for RM10, which was not a bad deal IMO.
