Any shopaholic worth their salt who's spent time overseas as a student or as a tourist would tell you that outlet malls are the way to go when it comes to shopping. Never mind that outlet malls are typically located in the middle of nowhere - it is worth the road trip to get there as stuff there costs a fraction of its retail price.
Malaysia will finally get its first factory outlet mall with Johor Premium Outlet in Kulai when it opens in November. I don't know what took so long for someone to finally bring in the idea of premium factory outlet malls into Malaysia, but better late than never. I already can't wait.
As excited as I am about the news, I will try not to get my hopes up too much about this turn of events until we find out what brands are going to be there. Methinks it's time to plan a road trip down there... or I'll hitch a ride down the next time Dad has a meeting in that neck of the woods :P
