Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie trailers

I keep hearing about how good the (late) Stieg Larsson books are and I see the Millennium books everywhere, but I honestly can't be bothered reading books aren't natively in English and I don't want to pay money to read the books. I'm also not sure how good the translation from its native Swedish. That's how much in my radar they are.

As far as I can tell, the story kind of reminds me of Agatha Christie novels - where the protagonist is invited to some rich person's estate under some pretense in order to investigate some family mystery... if not Agatha Christie, then some other author.

As it is with books of its infamy, Hollywood has cashed in and made an English-speaking version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, with Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara as the leads. Based on the trailer alone...

Well okay, this version of (what I found out to be) Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song makes it more badass than it seems. Which in turn made me think of the James Bond theme song.

There's another longer, exposition trailer for those of us who have not read the book...

What cracks me up a little watching these is the part stating that it's "From the INTERNATIONAL best selling trilogy", like they need to tell the audience that they're not written by an American. Sheesh.

I might watch the movie in lieu of reading the books, as there are too many books I've read where I cannot bring myself to watch the big-screen adaptations later, like The Lovely Bones, The Kite Runner, Q&A (aka Slumdog Millionaire)...

PS. I think I can understand how Scarlett Johansson is "too hot" to play Lisbeth :P

Before I forget, check out the Muppet version too... :D
