I was left to my own devices one Sunday and I was craving a salad for lunch. So I went back to
The Salad Bar in Damansara Utama, where I have not been since the menu revamp and renovation. Which was just as well, since the burger joint next door is now a shop selling wine. Whether there was a change in management/ownership since the
last time I was there I'm not too sure, that's just a suspicion on my part. But some of the menu items from before the revamp survived. Anyway, it wasn't terribly crowded when I got there, which is good for me.
Didn't get a salad in the end, but I did have the pasta and soup-of-the-day combo (under RM15) - the chilli mushroom (which had plenty of kick, mushrooms and really garlicky - mmm) and broccoli soup (made with pureed broccoli and potatoes).

The soup is unseasoned but you get salt and pepper to season it however you like. I've never had broccoli in soup form before, but that one I liked.
Despite offering free Wi-Fi on the premises and the password being awkwardly located (pasted on a cabinet behind the counter), I got nothing on my phone. Can't even check into Foursquare and unlock the special. What the heck.
