Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

I finally cashed the free movie and concession pass I got months ago to watch Crimes of Grindelwald at a TGV I wouldn't normally go - Jaya Shopping Centre. Found legit street parking outside, so yay...!

This is the SECOND of a FIVE MOVIE franchise. BASED ON A THIN ASS HOGWARTS TEXTBOOK. (I'm waiting for them to announce a Quidditch Through the Ages franchise, but based on how much she hated writing the Quidditch in the canon, that ain't happening.) 

All I say is, there's a lot of setup for the next three sequels in this movie. I wonder if Eddie Redmayne's regretting his movie deal now since he and Jude Law were among the British actors that WEREN'T in the Potter movies.

• I like how they explained away Jacob's memory came back but not really what happened to the bakery he opened in the last movie.
• I don't really care one way or the other that Jude Law is playing younger Albus Dumbledore, but okay. 
• OMG Dumbledore's been outsourcing this shit to students since, like, FOREVER. 
• The Zouwu getting tamed with what looked like a cat toy was funny AF. Whoda thunk. Also, I think I can see why Chinese people would call it a "dragon" ROFL 
• So Dumbledore's Parisian safehouse was Nicolas Flamel's? Ho-kay then. 
• Everyone's favourite KPC creature, the Niffler is back! Him (as well as the baby ones) are hilarious AF. 
• Either they dug up old Jamie Campbell Bower as Grindelwald footage or they got Jamie Campbell Bower to come in for a couple of days....
• I imagine it must be a tad awkward for English wizards to go back to Hogwarts since there's only the one wizarding school in England...
• Anyone else besides me relieved that the Niffler survived the big confrontation in the end? 
• OMG Poor Jacob.
• Wah, Jessica Williams got a speaking part in the movie. To be fair, she's got an in with JK Rowling also lah, that's why.
• How was Nagini surviving in Paris in just her circus costume for the whole movie without a coat? Meanwhile, everyone else is running round wrapped up to their chins. My inner auntie was so relieved when she was wearing someone's coat at Hogwarts. 
• I have to like how they retconned the shit out of Leta Lestrange's character, especially in explaining how she's half black. And that her dad wasn't racially discriminating when picking women to (practically) rape for a male heir. 

TBH, it's probably too mature for younger kids. I thought it was fine.
