Week 49, 2018

Weeks of stress related sleep deprivation and running on fumes finally took its toll on me and some URTI infection has started to kick in from the weakened immune system just as I was starting my self declared six day weekend (took Thursday, Friday and Monday off), which is its way of telling me to slow TF down. I try, but things happen. So trying to rest as much as possible.
  • Tumblr finally banned adult content. Took long enough I guess?
  • Are Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas still getting married? I hear they're doing multiple ceremonies and Indian weddings tend to go on for days at a time, so...
  • Big Bad Wolf book sale started this week, which was why I took Thursday off to start with. Mad props to anyone semangat enough to go multiple times, especially over the weekends, cos I can't even. To be fair, I used to go multiple times back when it was in PJ, so I can totally relate.
  • The anti-ICERD rally that happened downtown on Saturday is too dumb for words, especially when some of the participants have no idea what ICERD was. Also, RM200 (allegedly) is not enough to get me to rally for something I know next to nuts about.
  • Drove myself up to Genting Premium Outlets on Friday cos I could and I didn't want to pay RM3 hourly parking. Only bought a pair of Levi's. But I did my usual stop at Godiva before leaving.
  • Kinda glad that Riuh is in PJ this weekend (at Gasket Alley), but I imagine some of the attendees weren't too happy about getting TWO parking tickets from both the police and local council for illegally parking along the road behind Jaya One.
  • How have they not already added Anna Olson to the Iron Chef Canada roster?!
  • Another Healthland branch opened in Aman Suria, which I can get to via the backroads and not have to deal with highways at all.
  • I really hope that Celebrity Deathmatch gets rebooted.
  • Some Harvard professor found that 6 fries to be the perfect serving size, says no one else ever.
  • Back to DPAC to watch a double bill show on Saturday night. First half was great, second half wasn't really worth writing home about.
  • New season of Top Chef started this week.
