This week has been a whole week of "lasts" - last Monday, Tuesday, weekend, you get it, of this decade we're in now (tens? teens? which is it?). The last weekend of 2019. I know it's the last weekend of 2019 because school orientation days are on and when you live near a primary school, traffic is gonna be rough for the next week or so (oy vey).
- Didn't really take the week off like some people might've for Christmas, etc. Enjoyed the Christmas day not being at work, though.
- So settled for self-declared 5 day weekend by taking next Monday and Tuesday off. Won't be great for the wallet, I'll admit.
- That said, I dunno why people think it's a good idea to go to Bukit Bintang (Pavilion, etc) on Christmas day itself (cheaper parking?). I know I went cos I otherwise don't have time to go (managed to cover both Pavilion and KLCC), but if some of these people are still on leave, etc, what was their excuse? Traffic was so bad later in the day that the GOKL buses bypassed the road and it took half an hour from KLCC back to the stop behind Pavilion. People, it's not freaking Orchard Road - there's no holiday lights display to speak of.
- This week got solar eclipse.
- Someone at the JB EPF office got in deep doo doo for insisting that a bedridden cancer patient come do the biometric verification for their withdrawal in person, which meant an ambulance ride (which can't be cheap, or covered by any insurance?).
- I might not have seen The Mandalorian, but that damn Baby Yoda (or whatever species it is cos it was never explicitly stated what species Yoda was) is everywhere on the internet.
