With no end in sight for the current economic shutdown and lockdown (who knows if the cinemas can survive afterwards), I gave in and saw Black Widow through *ahem ahem* means.
- The beginning seems to have The Americans vibes...?
- I get it's a character, it's just that Florence Pugh's Russian accent was kinda thick. That said, her character is pretty damn amusing.
- Them going all graphic on the forced hysterectomy to Alexei after bailing him out was kinda funny.
- Hello, if the Widows had similar fight training in the Red Room, won't they be equally matched if they have to fight each other?
- Was wondering why she sounded so American all this time, but at least ScarJo don't have to sound Russian at any point in the MCU.
- I have to say, the pheromone lock is a stroke of (evil) genius. But also kinda creepy and gross.
- Kinda explains why she went from red to blonde in between movies.
- Olga Kurylenko only showing her face in the third act was a good surprise reveal.
- So does this mean that all the freed Widows, Melina, Alexei, etc are now all going to live on Melina's farm with the pigs? Or did they go somewhere else, and those pigs are abandoned?
If you didn't know that Natasha died a couple movies later, I would say this was fun to watch. Now I'm kinda curious to see the Yelena-Barton showdown as she tries to kill him and him trying to explain what really happened to them on Vormir in the Hawkeye show (who asked for a Hawkeye show?)
- For real, did they bring her body back from Vormir, or was her grave just a marker?
- How does a super spy not notice the handler coming?
